Furnace Cleaning in Venice, FL

What furnace cleaning actually involves here

First the breaker goes off, then the disconnect. Panels come off the air handler or furnace cabinet. The blower wheel comes out when it is loaded. Caked fins on a squirrel cage choke airflow before anyone notices heat problems. We brush and vacuum each fin. Then we clean the housing and reseat the wheel square on the shaft. Then the heat section itself.

Most Venice homes do not have a furnace in the Midwest sense. Heat is usually an electric strip kit inside the air handler. Cleaning that means pulling the heater package. We vacuum scale and lint off the coiled elements. Then we check sequencers, the limit, and lug torque. Gas furnaces do exist here. Those get burners pulled. The flame sensor gets polished. The heat exchanger gets scoped.

The burnt-dust smell on first cold morning almost always starts upstream. Leaking return plenums pull attic air, sand, and blown-in fiber straight onto the elements. Aged ductboard plenums shed. A furnace cleaning that ignores the return is a short-lived fix. We open the return side and look.

If the heat exchanger is cracked, or a ductboard plenum is friable and sagging, cleaning is the wrong spend. We will say so and show you the spot.
